Robert Payne - President
A native Texan, Robert graduated from TCU in 1995 with a degree in Finance. He then launched a successful career in the wood packaging industry working 18 years for the same company, growing sales from $38 to over $140 million. He worked his way to be the top salesman, trained new salesman, managed sales teams, and was in charge of 42% of the company’s budget. He was instrumental in creating lean manufacturing standards, quality manuals, maximizing wood yields, and wood waste recovery programs all requirements for multimillion dollar accounts. He is a certified PDS (pallet design system) designer, member of NWPCA (National Wooden Pallet and Container Association, and NAWLA (North American Wholesale Lumber Association). In 2014 he founded Greentree Packaging & Lumber to follow his dream of starting his own business.
Adolfo Castruita - VP of Operations
Adolfo began his career in the wood industry at the age of 17 years old and started working stacking lumber. Eager to learn the industry, he accelerated in all aspects of the business. At the end of his tenure at his prior job he managed a $11 million wood packaging operation that specialized in custom assembled wood products. He has 15 years of experience in the manufacturing of wood pallets, crates, and skids. Adolfo says his biggest assets are problem-solving and his creativeness.
Tracy Valenciano - Accounting
Experienced with all facets of bookkeeping and accounting, Tracy handles Greentree’s Accounts Payable, Collections, HR and basically whatever else is needed at the Mansfield location to help them run smoothly. Prior to Greentree, Tracy worked in the loan department of a small bank, as a department supervisor in Store Processing. Other experience includes bank reconciliation, lottery reconciliation, money order reconciliation, inventory, sales taxes and light IT help to stores over the phone and other customer relations. Tracy received 2 A+ Customer Service Awards from management, 3 awards that come from customer input and 2 peer to peer awards for going above and beyond.
Mike Erwin - Sales
Mike essentially grew up in the packaging industry. His father started Erwin Containers in their garage in Fort Worth in the late 60s where Mike and his brother would help their Dad assemble wooden crates. He continued to work for the company until moving to Austin in the 80s to complete his degree at St. Edwards University. After graduating, Mike worked for the State of Texas as the Operations Manager for the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. When his father passed unexpectedly in 1997, Mike returned to the DFW area to take over the family business. In 2008, Mike joined the Greentree family when they purchased Erwin Containers, bringing over 30 years’ experience with him. Outside of work, Mike spends most of his time at Cedar Creek Lake enjoying time out on the water, rehabbing older houses, and doing volunteer work for his community in Star Harbor.
Barbara Gallup - Sales
Barbara was born in California, but got to Texas as quickly as she could. She grew up in Corsicana moving to Mansfield as a young adult. Barbara has been in the lumber industry over a decade. She has found her home in sales. Helping customers source products and building lasting relationships is her calling.
Barbara has been married for over 30 years to her husband Duane and they have two sons and two grandchildren. They have made a home in Mansfield for 29 years. Away from work she enjoys church, family time, travel, camping and reading.
Larry Tubbs - Sales
While recently joining the Green Tree sales team, Larry has more than 30 years of experience working in the lumber industry. In addition to his considerable industrial lumber experience, he has owned both retail and wholesale lumber businesses. He has also served in the role of VP Sales of an industrial lumber company. A native Texan, Larry has a marketing degree from Texas Tech and is married to another Red Raider, Ann. He has one son and two grandchildren. Larry enjoys playing golf, traveling, and being involved with his Rotary Club.
Steve Green - Sales
Steve Green is a native of Ennis Texas, he has been in the hardwood business since 1991. Having spent 20 years as a hardwood buyer and product manager he is now part of the team at Green Tree bringing his knowledge of hardwood with him.
After spending an enlistment in the Air Force in the early 1980’s he attended Sam Houston State University where he studies history and geography. Currently he lives with his wife Lawana on their farm near Ennis. They are raising 3 of their 8 children who are still at home. He also has 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces. His hobbies are raising and training reined cow horses with his wife and children.
Enrique Castruita - VP of Transportation
Enrique started working his first lumber job at the age of 16 years old, and worked his way up in the ranks to Production Manager, managing sawmill operations of a $15 million in sales remanufacturing operation. He has extensive knowledge in sawmill equipment and lumber cutting. Enrique brings over 25 years of experience to his leadership role at Greentree. When he’s not overseeing Greentree’s busy production line, Enrique enjoys spending time with his wife and their two sons and daughter.
Keith Smith - Sales/Purchasing
A member of the Greentree family since 2015, Keith is a native Texan who grew up in Arlington and graduated with a B.S. from Texas A&M University ’91. Keith comes to Greentree with 20+ years of experience in sales and purchasing in the industrial lumber business. He follows the Cowboys and Rangers and is a huge fan of Aggie and TCU football. Away from work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, dogs, shooting, cooking, music, and time at the family farm in Teague. He and wife Mandy (Baylor ’96) live in Fort Worth and also love spending time with their 4 nephews and 1 niece.
Lloyd Harper - Sales
Lloyd joined the Greentree team in June of 2016. Lloyd was born and raised in Virginia where he worked in and managed the family business, later opening his own wholesale distribution company. After moving to and living in Colorado he came to Texas in 1993. Lloyd has 25+ years of experience in the industrial lumber and packaging business as a salesman, buyer, account representative and manager. He has served on the Board of Directors of the National Wooden Pallet and Container Association, the Research Steering Committee (NWPCA) and is a current member of the Science and Technology Committee and the PDS Advisory Council. In 2016 Lloyd served on the Timber Products Inspection Board of Advisors. He has extensive knowledge in pallet and crate design and in ISPM-15 Regulations for the export of wood packaging material.
When not working Lloyd enjoys playing the ukulele, music, flyfishing, shooting/shooter training, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, hiking and the outdoors. He is a Texas Rangers baseball fan, follows the Dallas Stars and Lonestar Brahmas ice hockey and the Denver Broncos. Lloyd has 4 children and 2 grandsons, he currently lives in Fort Worth with his 2 dogs.
Dave Dutton - Sales
Dave joined Greentree in 2013 with 7 years of prior sales experience in the lumber industry. He grew up in the Midwest and graduated with an accounting degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, in 1979, and moved to Texas with his wife Martha in 1981. Dave spent most of his career in information technology, selling and managing network systems and was a managing partner in a firm providing information systems to many law enforcement agencies in Texas. He brings a commitment to service and problem solving and enjoys the relationships he has built with his customers.
Dave and Martha have been married for 40+ years, have four children and six grandkids (and counting). When he’s not working, he enjoys mountain biking, camping, hiking, DIY projects and all things outdoors.
Gordon Abram - Sales
Gordon is a salesman/account manager at Greentree. Prior to his current position, Gordon was Vice President of Sales and Chief Operating Officer for River Rock Services, where he was responsible for Financial Services/Casino Sales, River Rock’s Oil/Gas Division and Elevate Window Sales. Gordon also served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Conner Industries and served as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Sales over RMS, Inc. overseeing the Company’s operating functions including products, vendor/vendor relations, strategic marketing partners, customer service, inside sales, MIS, ordering/purchasing, and shipping/receiving. Gordon was the operations/quality systems manager at Coca-Cola Enterprises overseeing sales/marketing, warehousing, inventory control, production, and quality assurance.
Previously, Gordon was an Institutional Broker/Mutual Fund Sales Representative at Fidelity Investments. Gordon also served as an Officer in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Navy Reserve. Gordon earned a B.S. and an M.A. from the University of North Texas and is married with 4 children.
Jake Nansel - Sales
Jake Nansel joined the Greentree sales team in late 2020. His lumber career began out West in 2012 on the heels of a Bachelor degree in Business and Master of Business Administration. Jake’s diverse professional knowledge, drive, and passion for creating successful relationships has produced sales excellence year after year. His confident sales approach and willingness to accept challenges quickly lead to management roles where he was responsible for mentoring new sales professionals, managing sales teams, and producing sales growth recognized as top in class.
Jake is sure to keep life balanced with a “work hard play hard” mentality. During his time away from the office, Jake enjoys being home in Burleson, TX with his Wife and Daughter. On the weekends you can find him playing the guitar and listening to live music, traveling to local attractions, and rooting on his favorite sports teams.
